Naturologist

The Canadian Naturologistâ„¢ Profession

The Canadian Naturologist™ profession is an exciting and promising addition to the nation’s health and wellness landscape. Rooted in the distinct discipline of naturological practice, it blends evidence-informed science, cultural respect, and multidisciplinary care. Naturologists possess advanced doctorate-level education or equivalent training, with extensive experience in natural-based health services. Their approach emphasizes safe, reliable, and patient-centred care, with a strong focus on prevention, health promotion, and complementary wellness.

Under the guidance of the Canadian Naturological Association / Association Canadienne de Naturologie (CNA-ACN), naturologists uphold the highest professional and ethical standards. This federally incorporated non-profit association brings together qualified practitioners — including those from Indigenous, ancestral, and other traditional healing backgrounds — who may be underrepresented in existing professional bodies. Our standards integrate rigorous education, research, ethics, and public safety to build trust among the public, healthcare providers, and institutions.

The Naturologist™ profession is designed to work in collaboration with other health disciplines, offering a holistic, complementary perspective to patient care. As awareness of natural-based healthcare grows, naturologists are positioned to contribute meaningfully to Canada’s evolving health system, addressing diverse needs with skill, cultural sensitivity, and innovation.
